There is an open Facebook group ‘Museums for Climate’ created to spread the knowledge about pro-environmental initiatives. Members of the group are invited to participate in webinars concerning the challenges which cultural institutions face due to climate change. The group is open to museum professionals and public cultural institution employees, as well as anyone else interested in this subject.

The planned exhibition will present urban designs of Alina Scholtz, a manager of parks department at the Warsaw Reconstruction Office and creator of designs for parks and urban greenery. The exhibition will display her designs which continue to inspire those seeking solutions to environmental, urban and climate challenges.

Based on interviews with the employees of Warsaw’s cultural institutions, the publication presents pro-environmental practices implemented in selected institutions, including community centres, libraries, museums and art centres.

The end of 2020 saw the launch of the publication from the ‘Museums Facing Extinction’ series addressed to museum professionals. It includes tips on how to talk about the climate crisis, presents examples of museums involved in pro-environmental activities and highlights good practices from the museum world. The publication was produced by We Are Museums with the support of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology and Climate-KIC.
